I'm guessing this solar-powered thing-a-ma-bob hooks up to some of the signals down the tracks.

*Album Backstory*
There's a set of train tracks about a mile from my home. I've always wanted to know where they led. One direction ran parallel to a main road, so I knew where that one leads... but the other directions disappeared into the woods. So, I put on my boots, grabbed my bag, and hiked the train tracks to see what this webspinner could see
Spider Note: Train tracks are not safe. Contrary to popular belief, gigantic trains can and will sneak up on you, especially the newer models. If you're at a curve in the tracks and not paying attention, it's very easy to not see one coming until it's right on top of you.
Please, if you choose to take the risk of exploring train tracks, be safe. Never walk tracks alone. The more people keeping an eye out for trains (or trouble), the better. Avoid unnecessary chatter while walking, keep your eyes and ears open, and don't actually walk ON the tracks. Walk along side whenever possible. When you need to walk on the tracks (such as bridges over the water), listen and look carefully, keep an eye on the gravel on the tracks for signs of vibration, and if you don't feel safe, don't cross.
